Transmission Grid Consulting was established in 1997 and is practising as Transmission Grid Consulting PTY (Ltd).

 

Consulting Services are supplied in all disciplines of Electrical Engineering with a specialised interest in Transmission Network Planning, Expansion and Strengthening, Network Operations for optimum network performance as well as the Design and Specification of Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) devices in the High Voltage Transmission Network Environment. The application of specialised power equipment for the mitigation of detrimental interactions between large industrial loads and the utility forms part of the specialist services offered.

 

Specialist consulting is also offered in the areas of network analysis for harmonic integration, harmonic mitigation, flicker analysis and mitigation, the analysis of electrical network phenomenon, reactive power compensation and network optimisation. Network parameter measurements and analysis is also performed. All Quality of Supply related integration and mitigation work is performed according to the South African NRS048 Quality of Supply Standard.

 

A network of Associations and Co-operation Agreements with National and International Consultants and Utilities allows TGC to offer any number of expert personnel under the guidance and support of the TGC office in Kempton Park, South Africa.
